Committees - Working for a Better Landen

A number of committees have been created to assist the Landen Community Services Association (CSA) Board, as well as overseeing certain programs and responsibilities. These committees, like the CSA Board, are made up of property owners who are volunteering their time to work for the betterment of Landen. This allows residents and property owners an opportunity to bring forth their ideas and get involved in their area of interest without a huge time commitment.

Building & Grounds
Oversees the condition and maintenance of the common area grounds, landscape and amenities (i.e., the gazebos, covered bridge, hiker/biker paved pathways, etc.) as well as special projects such as plantings and holiday decorations.

Communications
Keeps the community informed of important issues and events concerning Landen. This committee publishes Landen News and is responsible for the continuing development and oversight of the Landen Web site.

Election
Sets up and monitors our annual elections to ensure a fair and accurate election takes place.

Finance
Responsible for working with the organizations treasurer and management to assist the Board in establishing an annual budget and budget procedures, insurance programs and annual audit, as well as working with management to establish all accounting procedures and to review any financial reports. This committee is also responsible for establishing an investment policy for management to use in managing the organization?s funds and for conducting long-range strategic planning related to financial issues.

Responsibilities include the management and oversight of Landen Lake, the pond in Pond Woods, Simpson's Creek, and all other waterways throughout Landen.
