Lake Security

If you…

·        See suspicious activity around the lake

·        Notice a gas-motorized engine*  being used on the lake or near the ramp

·        See people net fishing (large nets being drug across the lake)

·        See or suspect non-residents fishing

·        See or suspect non-residents boating

Please call the Warren County Police Department immediately by dialing 925-2525.

We are receiving reports of multiple boats with gas-motorized engines accessing the Landen Lake.  This is a violation to the policy and if they are a non-resident they are trespassing onto private property.

We have also received reports that there have been young boys down by the lake using a large net and dragging it across the lake to collect fish.  This is a violation of the Landen lake policy and is considered trespassing and fishing without permission, both prosecutable offenses.

Please call the police immediately if you see or suspect unauthorized fishing or trespassing.  Non-resident fishing without permission is a 3rd degree misdemeanor that is prosecutable with a maximum fine of $500 and 60 days in jail for a first offense.  A second offense is a 2nd degree misdemeanor with a maximum $750 charge and 90 days in jail.

The Board is taking a serious approach.  We are on alert looking for trespassers and people fishing without permission on the Landen Lake.  The Warren County Police Department, Deerfield Township Police Department, Ohio Division of Wildlife and our on-site Security Guard have all been notified.

We are notifying residents through e-blast so you are aware of this issue and you know the proper procedure…call the police.  You may dial 925-2525 and they will dispatch an officer to the site.

In addition, Landen residents with boats and trailers should register them through the Association to get your red decals for both your boat and trailer. These decals are posted on the starboard bow. The decals help us control and monitor activity on Landen Lake.  If you own a boat and have not submitted the application for a decal (no fee is required) please visit the website www.landencsa.com go under “About Landen” and then click on Landen Lake.  The application is on the left side of the page.

Your help is appreciated as we try to maintain the beauty of our lake.

*You may not use a gas-motorized engine on Landen Lake.  The motor must be in the up position at all times.
