"Members of the HOA have two responsibilities: one to themselves and to their individually owned property, and one to the association and the community concept. Apathy by individual members can render the association ineffective and can destroy the community concept. To maintain the quality of life that accompanies a well-maintained residential community, each individual member must do their part. The success of the HOA will depend on how well each member meets and keeps the responsibilities that are established by the covenants creating the overall community concept."
What Is A Homeowner's Association? By joining an HOA, homeowners are expressing their belief that given reasonable expectations for maintenance and construction standards, coupled with a common interest to protect and increase property value, they are able to create and sustain a desirable neighborhood. For an HOA to work, it is necessary for each homeowner to abide by the rules and restrictions for the betterment of their community. Some potential homeowners perceive these standards as limiting, and therefore make their decision not to purchase a home in an HOA. Upon purchase of a home in an HOA, the buyer becomes a member of the HOA Almost all homeowners in the Landen Community also belong to an additional association such as a condominium association, recreational association or specific homeowners' association. These associations oversee the particular recreation facility, condominiums or association for which they were formed. Their fees are separate and apart from the Landen CSA; and they often have their own set of rules and regulations. The information contained in this document pertains specifically to the Landen CSA that can be considered a type of "Master Association" for the Landen Community. | |||||||||||||
