Residents Enjoy Many Amenities at Island Recreation Center

Residents of Baywood I, The Pointe, The Islands, Redbrick Ct., South Cove and Landen Cove can enjoy the amenities provided by The Islands Recreation Association (IRA) including a clubhouse, L-shaped swimming pool, baby pool and two tennis courts.

The IRA offers a large tri-level, contemporary-style clubhouse that has a two-sided fireplace, full kitchen, bar area, four bathrooms and hardwood floors. Lots of large windows and sliding glass doors provide a 360-degree view of the lake, swimming pool, ponds, dock, decks and tennis courts. A second-story deck overlooks the pool and lake. The clubhouse can be rented for $50 plus a $100 deposit. Please contact Tom Lindy 583-8469 to reserve a time for your next event.

The Social Committee continues to plan for many events including the annual Chili Cookoff and SuperBowl Party.

IRA neighborhoods are comprised of 237 condominiums, landominiums and single-family homes. Home prices range from $150,000 and up for condos and $190,000 to more than $650,000 for homes. Contemporary-style homes and ranches are situated on winding streets with mature trees—many homes are on the lakefront. Empty nesters and some young families reside in these close-knit communities.

Dues are $186 and paid twice a year to the IRA’s property management company Advantage Property Management.

Projects & Maintenance Issues:
Since April 2007, the IRA Board has been working on a number of maintenance issues relating to our Clubhouse and facilities.  We have received a number of request for a list of projects that the IRA Board has completed so far this year as well as what projects are planned for the near future.  To see this list, click here.
